Welcome to the wiki for English 6311: Histories of Rhetorics II

In addition to WebCT, we will use this open area to share information. The advantage of the wiki is that anyone in the class can enter and edit information, whereas several areas of WebCT are closed to students.

The most useful function, I think, will be the creation of a course glossary, called Rhetorical Lingo. As you come across important concepts, add them to the wiki. You can edit or add to others' entries. Think of this as a truly collaborative forum for negotiating meaning. By the end of the semester, we should have an extensive glossary for you to carry with you.

Another page I've started is Further Reading. Here you can add articles, books, or websites that you discover throughout the semester. I've started by adding articles that we might have read this semester.

Finally, it's time to start thinking about your [Research Prospectus.] I've created here a space for you to record--or blog--your process, questions, information gathering, and so on. Each of you has your own page, but periodically go into each other's areas and ask questions, respond to ideas, and so on.

We can add other pages as we go. Feel free to try it yourself or let me know what you want, and I'll set it up.
